Melexis MLX90621ESF-BAB-000-TU   The Low Noise High Speed Far Infrared (FIR) array is a fully calibrated 16x4 pixel infrared array packaged in the industry standard 4-pin TO-39 package. The MLX90621ESF-BAB-000-TU combines an infrared array with signal conditioning function and a 256x8 EEPROM into a single chip. The MLX90621 contains 64 infrared pixels and integrates a dedicated low-noise chopping stable amplifier and fast ADC. Integrated with PTAT (proportional to absolute temperature) sensors, used to measure the ambient temperature of the chip. The outputs of IR and PTAT sensors are stored in internal RAM and can be accessed through 2C
Depending on the application, external microcontrollers can read different RAM data and compensate for differences between sensors based on calibration data stored in EEPROM memory to establish thermal images or calculate the temperature of each point in the imaging scene.
These constants can be accessed by the user's microcontroller via I on the 2C bus and must be used for external post-processing of thermal data. Subsequent processing includes:
Ta calculation
Pixel offset elimination
Pixel sensitivity difference compensation
Object emissivity compensation
Calculation of object temperature
The result is that at a refresh rate of 1Hz, NETD outperforms images with 0.1K RMS.
The refresh rate of MLX90621ESF-BAB-000-TU can be set through registers or programmed directly through the 2C command. The change in refresh rate has a direct impact on integration time and noise bandwidth (the higher the refresh rate, the higher the noise level). The frame rate can be programmed within the range of 0.5Hz to 512Hz and can be changed to achieve the desired balance between speed and accuracy.
The MLX90621ESF-BAB-000-TU requires a single input voltage of 2.6V to 3.2V, although the device has been calibrated to perform the best DD type at 2.6V voltage
Meilaixin MLX90621 has undergone factory calibration within the following temperature range:
-40 ° C to+85 ° C ambient temperature sensor
-Object temperature from 50 ° C to+300 ° C
Each pixel in the array measures the average temperature of all objects in its own field of view (referred to as nFOV).
