The SN74LVCC3245APWR device is a 3A synchronous step-down converter with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V. The device includes two integrated switch FETs, internal loop compensation, and 5ms internal soft start to reduce the number of components. By integrating MOSFETs and using SOT-23 packaging, TPS54302 devices achieve high power density and provide small dimensions on PCBs. The implementation of advanced energy-saving modes can maximize the efficiency of light loads and reduce power losses. In the TPS54302 device, spread spectrum operation is introduced to reduce EMI. The cycle by cycle current limitation of two high side MOSFETs protects the converter under overload conditions, and is enhanced by the low side MOSFET freewheeling current limitation to prevent current loss of control. If the duration of the overcurrent situation exceeds the current time, the hiccup mode protection will be triggered.
