Gaohe Automobile employees stated that the company has issued a notice to suspend production for a total of six months, and the factory is not allowed to enter. Wages for January will be delayed until the end of February. According to insiders, employees who stayed in the company before March 15th can only receive basic salary, while employees after March 15th can only receive local basic salary.

Subsequently, a third-party labor service company cooperating with Gaohe Automobile terminated the contracts of outsourced employees dispatched to its factory, affecting more than 100 outsourced employees and receiving sudden termination notices.
According to the obtained termination of labor contract agreement, the compensation plan for outsourced employees of Gaohe Automobile is to multiply the average monthly salary by N times (N is the length of service), with the portion less than half a year being supplemented to half a year, and the portion exceeding half a year being calculated as the whole year.
In fact, this is not a sign that Gaohe Motors has been in trouble for the first time. The company also conducted a round of layoffs in October last year, with a proportion of up to 20%, and some departments even approaching 50%. In response, the official stated that business adjustments were routine management work.
At the beginning of this year, Gaohe held a meeting to notify employees that their January salary could not be paid on time, the 2023 year-end bonus would be cancelled, and suggested that employees find their own way out. Just as the employees of Gaohe Motors were feeling depressed, Gaohe car owners were also a bit panicked. Some were worried about after-sales service, and some had not even delivered the car. Currently, some stores have received notices of closure and are gradually closing.
In addition, there are reports that the company is selling a batch of HiPhi X quasi new used cars, with prices significantly reduced. A car dealer has revealed that a batch of HiPhi X quasi new second-hand cars from Gaohe will be on sale. These vehicles will be registered in 2024 and have a new suggested retail price of 570000 yuan. They are currently being discounted for 299800 yuan.
According to public information, Gaohe Automobile is a new energy vehicle company founded in 2017, and its founder and chairman, Ding Lei, previously served as a senior executive at SAIC Group. Although the company has never publicly raised funds, it has launched three cars, including the HiPhi X, HiPhi Y, and HiPhi Z. However, the high selling price led to poor sales. Gaohe Automobile sold 4237 units in 2021 and 4349 units in 2022, with an average monthly delivery of over 300 units. The average monthly sales in 2023 were only 355 units.
